Prevention Education Director

Adriana Rey joined The Shaken Baby Alliance in January 2024. Originally from Morelos, Mexico, Adriana earned a

Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Spanish, an endorsement in Latin American Studies, and TESOL

Certification from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). She also holds a Master’s degree in Educational

Administration.


Adriana Rey brings more than seventeen years of experience in education, including teaching roles both nationally

and internationally. She served as an Early Learning Child Program Evaluator for the University of Nebraska Medical

Center and later as the Early Learning Family Engagement Specialist for Keller Independent School District in Texas.

Throughout her career, she has worked to improve early childhood outcomes and increase access to supportive

services for diverse communities.


In her current role, Adriana is dedicated to teaching and promoting awareness of Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive

Head Trauma (SBS/AHT) to protect the tiniest among us. Her work focuses on empowering caregivers and

strengthening prevention efforts to safeguard infants and young children. Her professional priorities center on

building strong family–school–community partnerships, advancing culturally responsive engagement, and ensuring

every child grows up safe, supported, and set on a path toward lifelong well-being.
