Precious Lives Quilt Project

The Shaken Baby Alliance Precious Lives Quilt Project is a special tribute to victims of physical violence. The quilt squares are lovingly designed by family members and then hand stitched together by volunteers.

The Precious Lives Quilt Project began as a tribute to our children – victims of Shaken Baby Syndrome.  As our mission has expanded to include children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, who have experienced physical abuse, the Precious Lives Quilt Project expands too.

At the present time, we have the following quilts available for loan to raise awareness of Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma Victims:

  • Precious Lives – Child Victims of Shaken Baby Syndrome (2 quilts)
    • This quilt set includes one quilt with surviving children and 1 quilt with children who are deceased.

These quilts travel throughout the country in pairs to generate awareness of SBS/AHT and to help disseminate information to prevent this devastating form of child physical abuse. The quilts are made to honor and remember our children and to serve as a reminder to everyone that SBS/AHT is a serious form of child abuse.

The quilts are available by a loan from The Shaken Baby Alliance. Organizations and individuals who would like to utilize these quilts to provide education and information to their communities may do so for a nominal fee* which covers the cost of shipping the quilts.

*Please note: Minimum cost is $100. The final cost is determined by the shipping company and paid by the borrower before the quilts are shipped. The recipient is required to ship quilts to the address provided on the date indicated. All proceeds go to benefit the continuation of the Precious Lives Quilt Project.
