Jay Lapham, J.D.

Jay Lapham is an Assistant District Attorney for the 271st Judicial District serving Wise and Jack Counties.  Previously he served as the Associate Executive Director/Staff Attorney for The Shaken Baby Alliance, a non-profit agency, dedicated to supporting families and professionals in the fight against child abuse.  He formerly worked as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Tarrant County, Texas for twelve years.  As a Tarrant County Assistant Criminal District Attorney, Mr. Lapham served as Chief of the Juvenile Division and Chief of the Crimes Against Children Division.  A tireless advocate for children, Mr. Lapham volunteers many hours of his time for causes related to children.  On July 19, 2005, the Points of Light Foundation awarded Mr. Lapham the Daily Point of Light for his commitment to protecting children from abuse.
